The X Bag

May 21, 2008

Just finished the bag.  I used a medium weight iron on stiffner and it is quite stiff.  The sample we saw at the Etobicoke show must have used a lightweight one because it felt softer when I picked it up. The three compartments inside will be great for going to quilt shows.  One for my wallet, one for my camera and the other for the program and small purchases.  All ready to go!

Fabric Dilemma

May 21, 2008

Did I mention the dilemma I encountered with the log cabin? It was really hard to pick lights and darks with the package of batiks…

Logcabin Workshop

May 6, 2008

Saturday’s Logcabin workshop (thanks Joanne!) was educational/interesting… It was work, so I’m not saying ‘fun’. I’ve finished the blocks and have an idea how I want to finish them…

Creativ Festival

May 1, 2008

So, I spent the weekend working at the Creativ Festival and in keeping with our group name, managed to squeeze in some shopping.  Joanne’s booth was across the aisle from the Janome booth and they have come out with a table which fits my 6500.  There is a drawer on the left-hand side and measurements in both inches and centimetres marked on the front edge.  So much better than the extension table that came with the machine.  I have to quilt a 17″ background square for the Folded Flowers workshop on Saturday, so this will be a good test for the new table.
